   Most dating sites offer at least a free trial offer to try their site without spending money. Testing out a variety of sites will also help you decide what you need in a dating site and what you really could do without. The larger the site generally, the more often they offer free trials, so sites like friendfinder and match have more frequent free offers than smaller sites.

   OkCupid.com is free. There are a lot of creeps on the site, but I’ve gone on a few decent dates. None of them led to other dates, but that’s another story. There are some interesting people there. Keep in mind that male to female ratio on this site is pretty big, so it’s harder for a guy to get a girl to respond, but it’s harder for a girl to sift through all the creeps. A guy friend of mine had a pretty good experience with it, though.

   This gets asked here all the time…plentyoffish.com and okcupid.com are free. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
