It makes it easier, cuz you can just find a date on the internet without even going out..

Tee hee.
Well I guess I’m old-fashioned because it hasn’t really affected my dating life. I think I’m the only person in North America over the age of 12 who doesn’t have a cellphone. I don’t like them & I don’t have a need for one. I am usually able to get to a phone wherever I am if needed & I can check my messages at home. I’m not important enough to need to be reached every moment of the day! I think they’re too addictive & expensive. I see a lot of people with them that overuse them.
I met my boyfriend at a local bar where I sing, so technology didn’t really come into play there! We email back & forth sometimes when I’m at work & we can’t see each other but aside from that technology doesn’t play much of a part.
One of my cousins met her hubby on the internet. The internet could be a good way to break the ice & get to know a great deal about someone before you even meet. You just have to be careful because the anonymity makes it easier for people to lie & they may just say what you want to hear. There are some scary sinister folks out there. Of course even meeting someone in person they may not be quite what they seem. These days you just have to be careful! Setting your cellphone to vibrate is probably the most safe option!

I now have a seemingly unlimited number of channels to watch while i am not dating on, if I would spend the money, a large assortment of large, small, portable, interactive flat and high def screens. So i guess it has given ever more tempting ways to withdraw from each other while avoiding the risk of rejection but missing the opportunity to practice the skills of relationship building. I sometimes see young people surrounded by others with headphones on and some small plastic box in hand, watching some game do some sort of thing while nice young things go by without any notice. Life is walking by as the games play on.
