I Have Crushes And Infatuations But Why Do I Feel Dating Will Be Boring?
No, I’m not gay lol. Im in high school, its one of those enriched-programs lol. Its pretty un-ghetto and most people dont have girlfriends. I have strong feelings for a girl and I’m sure she likes me but when I think about dating (serious relationship or not) it just feels dull. I’m not a jerk or anything, I’m really sensitive and all. Do you think it’s cause of the mood of the school?

Heheh. It can be. It feels different from the pure adrenaline rush of flirting or the exciting newness of everything.
To make dating worth it, or fruitful, you’re going to have to get beyond the need for every moment to be imaginatively romantic and titillating. You’ll need to get used to just being together. Instead of going to your partner to be excited, you’ll go to her for shelter or just to feel the part of yourself that it with her. You’ll need to do the hard work of building trust, of sanding off your pet peeves and annoyances when they’re triggered by your partner, and learning to receive love in turn. And then if and when your break up, you’ll have to find your way through the lonely maze of finding the pieces of your heart and putting it back together.
If you’re not ready for that, innocent flirtation may be all you’re ready for. Just make sure you’re not carelessly breaking hearts

Yeah I’d say so – dating isn’t really all that bad, it’s better than being friends, but if the school is like then damn course it’ll seem boring!
